Supplies:
Pipecleaners (variety of colours)
Pony beads (colourful, assorted)
Scissors (optional for trimming)
Steps:
Make the Butterfly Body
Take 1 pipecleaner.
Fold it in half and twist the top a couple of times to form a little “antenna.”
This is the body and head of the butterfly.
Create the Wings
Take another pipecleaner and fold it into a loop on one side, then another loop on the other side.
Twist it in the middle to hold the two loops together.
Repeat with a second pipecleaner to make the bottom wings.
Add Beads
Before twisting the wings to the body, thread colourful beads onto each wing loop.
Fill the wings with beads in patterns or random colours.
Attach Wings to Body
Place the wing sets (top and bottom) behind the butterfly body pipecleaner.
Twist the body around the centre of the wings to secure.
Shape & Finish
Adjust the loops to make nice rounded wings.
Bend the antenna slightly at the top.
