Beaded Name Bag Tags

Supplies

• Thick cord, paracord, leather cord, or elastic beading cord

• Pony beads (alphabet beads + coloured beads)

• Key rings or plastic bag clips

• Tape (to wrap cord ends)

• Scissors

Steps

1. Prepare the CordCut a length of cord approx. 20–25 cm long.Tape one end to stop beads slipping off.

2. Plan the DesignChildren choose beads and spell their name using alphabet beads.Encourage a pattern: colour – letter – colour.

3. Thread the BeadsThread beads onto the cord in the chosen order.Check spelling before tying.

4. Secure the EndsTie a tight double knot at the end of the beads.For extra strength, staff can add a tiny drop of glue.

5. Attach the ClipTie or loop the other end of the cord through a key ring or bag clip.
