Supplies
Per station:

2 bowls per player (one full, one empty)
Transfer items (choose 1–2 options):
Pom poms
Cotton balls
Mini marshmallows
Gummy lollies
Plastic beads
Stopwatch / timer
Clipboard + pen (optional for scoring)
Optional adaptations:
Tongs (for younger children)
Larger objects (wooden blocks, ping pong balls)
Steps
1️⃣ Set Up
Fill one bowl with transfer items.
Place an empty bowl beside it.
Mark a clear waiting line if needed.
Decide whether children will compete:
Individually
In teams
Against the clock
2️⃣ Explain the Challenge
Say:
“Your mission is to move as many items as you can from one bowl to the other using only chopsticks. No hands allowed!”
Rules:
Chopsticks only.
If an item drops, it must be picked up using chopsticks.
No scooping with the bowl.
3️⃣ Challenge Options
Choose the style that suits your group:
Option A: 60-Second Challenge (Most Controlled)
Set timer for 60 seconds.
Child transfers as many items as possible.
Count items at the end.
Record score.
This works really well for rotation stations.
Option B: Relay Style
Teams line up.
Each child transfers 5 items before tagging the next teammate.
First team to empty their bowl wins.
Great for larger groups.
Option C: Target Challenge
Place bowls at increasing distances.
Children must transfer items into a bowl 30–50 cm away.
Adds difficulty for older kids.
