Christmas Slime

Supplies
PVA glue
Baking soda
Contact lens solution (must contain boric acid)
Food colouring (red, green, or festive colours)
Glitter or festive confetti
Mixing bowls or cups
Spoons or craft sticks
Measuring spoons
Airtight containers or zip-lock bags (for taking home)
Steps
Add GluePour approximately ½ cup of PVA glue into a bowl.
Add Baking SodaAdd ½ teaspoon of baking soda to the glue and mix well until smooth.
Colour the SlimeAdd a few drops of food colouring and stir until evenly mixed.
Add GlitterStir in glitter or festive confetti (optional).
Activate the SlimeSlowly add contact lens solution, 1 teaspoon at a time, mixing as you go.Continue until the slime starts to pull away from the bowl.
KneadUse hands to knead the slime until it is no longer sticky and has a stretchy texture.
StorePlace the finished slime into a container or bag with the child’s name.
Other Information
Children should wash hands before and after making slime.
Supervise closely and remind children not to put slime near mouths or faces.
If slime is too sticky, add a few more drops of contact lens solution.
If slime becomes too firm, add a small amount of glue to soften it.
Slime should be taken home the same day.
