Clay Mythical Monsters

Supplies:
Air-dry clay or coloured modelling clay
Googly eyes
Pipe cleaners (for tails, horns, or wings)
Beads, sequins, buttons, or small gems (for texture or decoration)
Toothpicks or sculpting tools (plastic knives, forks, or popsicle sticks)
Paint and brushes (if using air-dry white clay)
Paper or cardboard base for display
Steps:
Choose Your CreatureAsk each child to invent a mythical monster — it could be a fire-breathing lizard, a winged blob, or a glittery swamp beast!
Shape the BaseUse clay to form a basic body — round, snake-like, chunky, or multi-headed. Let creativity guide the form!
Add FeaturesSculpt arms, legs, horns, tails, wings, or tentacles.Use pipe cleaners for movement or bendy parts.
DecoratePress in beads, buttons, sequins, or googly eyes. Carve scales or fur texture with a toothpick or sculpting tool.
Dry and Paint (if needed)If using air-dry clay, allow to dry overnight, then paint as desired.
Name and DisplayEach child names their creature and writes a short description or power card to go with it!
