Egg and spoon dino dash

What You Need:

  • Spoons (wooden or large plastic work best)

  • Plastic Easter eggs or ping pong balls (decorate them as dino eggs if you like!)

  • Cones or tape to mark the start and finish lines

  • Optional: dinosaur-themed stickers or mini prizes

How to Play:

  1. Set Up the Racecourse:

    • Create a straight line or zigzag path using cones or markers.

    • Designate a start and finish line.

  2. Hand Out Supplies:

    • Give each child a spoon and one "dino egg" to balance on it.

  3. Race Time!

    • On “Go!”, players walk or run to the finish line without dropping their egg.

    • If the egg drops, the player must stop, place it back on the spoon, and continue from the same spot.

  4. Winning:

    • First to cross the finish line with their egg still on the spoon wins.

    • Play multiple rounds or race in heats if you have a large group.

Variations:

  • Relay Style: Divide into teams and pass the spoon at each end.

  • Obstacle Dash: Add hurdles, tunnels, or lava zones (cones or hula hoops) for a more challenging course.

  • Hands-Free: Try playing with one hand behind the back for older kids.
