Supplies
artificial flowers with holes already in the centre.
Drinking straws cut into 2–3 cm pieces (spacers).
String, wool, or elastic cord (about 1m per child).
Steps
Prepare the String
Cut string or wool to about 1 metre for each child.
Tie a big knot or bead at one end so flowers don’t slip off.
Thread the Flowers
carefully thread the string through the middle of a flower.
Slide it down to the knot.
Add a Spacer
Thread on a piece of cut straw after each flower.
This makes the garland sit nicely and stops flowers from bunching up.
Repeat
Alternate flower, straw, flower, straw until the string is full.
Finish the Garland
Tie the ends together to make a necklace or crown.
Kids can wear them straight away!
