Supplies
A4 paper or cardstock
Pencils
Erasers
Black markers or vivid outlines (felt pens or Sharpies)
Colouring materials (coloured pencils, pastels, crayons, or markers)
Optional: printed graffiti-style letter templates for inspiration
Steps
Give each child a piece of paper and pencil.
Ask them to lightly sketch their name in large, bold letters across the page (first name or nickname works best).
Show examples of graffiti styles (see below) — bubble letters, blocky styles, drips, arrows, outlines, etc.
Once they’re happy with their design, go over it with black marker to create bold outlines.
Colour in with bright, contrasting colours to give it that graffiti pop.
Optional: Add backgrounds like bricks, stars, or bursts of colour.
Other Information
Encourage them to take their time with outlines and layering colour.
You can create a “gallery wall” after to display all the designs together.
