Supplies Needed:
1. Paper or Cardstock
2. Scissors
3. Markers, Colored Pencils, or Crayons
4. Adhesive Magnetic Strips
5. Glue (if the magnetic strips are not self-adhesive)
6. Laminator and pouches (optional)
Instructions:
1. Draw Your Design: Draw a picture or write a message on the paper or cardstock. Make sure the design will fit within the size of the magnet.
2. Cut Out Your Design: Use scissors to carefully cut out your design.
3. Prepare the Magnet: Cut a piece of the adhesive magnetic strip to the right size for your design. (optional: laminate them and recut to make them last longer)
4. Attach the Magnet: If the magnetic strip is self-adhesive, remove the protective backing and stick the magnet to the back of your design. If the strip is not self-adhesive, use glue to attach the magnet. Press firmly to ensure it sticks well.
5. Let It Dry: Allow any glue to dry completely before using the magnet.
Remember to supervise children during this activity, particularly when using scissors. Encourage creativity in their designs and discuss with them where they might like to display their finished magnets.
