Supplies
Chairs, cones, boxes, or buckets (for crawling and weaving)
Ropes or yarn (to make “vines” to duck or step over)
Hula hoops (to jump through or use as “animal traps” to avoid)
Cushions or mats (to leap over as “crocodile rivers”)
Soft animal toys (to collect as “rescues”)
Jungle sound effects or music (optional but fun!)
Stopwatch or phone timer (optional for timed runs)
Set up the course: use imagination to create jungle theme things such as....
Leafy entryway or hanging vines made of streamers or yarn.
Weave through the trees – zigzag around cones or chairs.
Crawl through the tunnel – under a table or between two boxes.
Jump over the crocodile river – use cushions/mats as “stepping stones”.
Swing through the vines – duck under ropes or jump over them.
Rescue the baby animals – pick up a soft toy along the way and carry it to safety.
Finish with a jungle roar at the end!
Demonstrate the course once before letting kids try.
Kids can go one at a time or race in pairs if space allows.
