Jungle puppets

Supplies
Coloured paper or card (brown, yellow, orange, blue, white, black, pink, etc.)
Scissors
Glue stick or PVA glue
Craft sticks (popsicle sticks or ice block sticks)
Black marker
Pencil for tracing
Optional: Googly eyes or stickers
Pick your animalChoose from jungle favourites like:
🐵 Monkey
🦁 Lion
🦓 Zebra
🐘 Elephant
Cut out the shapesFor each animal, cut simple pieces from coloured paper:
Monkey – brown circle for the head, beige oval for the face, small ears
Lion – yellow face, orange zigzag circle for the mane, small ears
Zebra – white face, black stripes, nose, and ears
Elephant – blue head, large floppy ears, trunk
Glue it together
Stick the pieces onto each other to form your animal's head.
Use a black marker to draw eyes, nose, mouth, or other details.
Optional: Stick on googly eyes or use a pink circle for cheeks.
Attach to the stick
Flip the finished head over and glue or tape a craft stick to the back.
Let it dry (if using PVA glue) and then you're ready to play!
💡 Other Information
Encourage kids to name their animals and make up a story or puppet show.
You can pre-cut pieces for younger kids or let older ones design their own.
