Supplies
1 plastic bat (cricket bat, tennis racquet, or similar).
1 soft ball (foam or tennis ball).
Cones or markers for bases/wickets.
Optional: bright sashes or bibs to split into two teams.
How to Play
Set Up
Mark out a simple playing area (like a mini cricket field).
Place 3 cones as “wickets” (or use chairs).
Teams
Split the group into two teams: batters and fielders.
The batting team lines up to take turns.
Batting
The batter stands at the wicket.
A fielder bowls (underarm throw is best for younger kids).
The batter hits the ball and runs to a marked base and back to score a point.
Fielding
Fielders try to catch the ball or get it back to the bowler quickly.
If the ball hits the wicket before the batter is home, they’re out.
Rotate
After each batter has had a turn, swap teams.
The team with the most runs at the end wins.
Other Information
Encourage cheering and fun chants – part of Kilikiti’s spirit is its lively atmosphere.
Use larger bats/balls for younger children so everyone can join in.
Keep games short (5–10 minutes per round) to maintain excitement.
