LEGO Marble Maze

Supplies

  • LEGO baseplate (approx. 32x32 studs or similar size)

  • Assorted LEGO bricks (regular and flat pieces)

  • 1 marble (or small ball that rolls easily)

  • Optional: LEGO figurines or decorations for extra fun

Steps

  1. Choose Your Base Place the baseplate on a flat surface. This will be the floor of your maze.

  2. Plan Your Maze Path

    • Imagine the start point and the finish point.

    • You can mark them with different-coloured bricks or a flag.

    • Think about making turns, dead ends, and narrow passages to make it challenging.

  3. Build the Walls

    • Use LEGO bricks to create the maze walls.

    • Keep the wall height at least 2 bricks high so the marble can’t roll over them.

    • Leave gaps in the walls where you want the marble to pass through.

  4. Add Challenges (Optional)

    • Create ramps using sloped LEGO pieces.

    • Make a “bridge” by building two supports and placing a flat piece across.

    • Add tunnels using arch pieces.

  5. Decorate Your Maze (Optional)Add LEGO people, trees, or themed decorations to make it look exciting.

  6. Play the Game

    • Place the marble at the start.

    • Tilt the baseplate slightly to roll the marble through the maze to the finish.

    • Time yourself or challenge friends to see who can finish fastest without falling off the path.

Other Information

  • You can make it harder by adding more turns, dead ends, or narrow sections.

  • You can make it easier for younger kids by making the path wider and using fewer obstacles.

  • If you don’t have a marble, you can use a small bouncy ball or even a large bead.
