Supplies:
Wooden chopsticks, sticks, or pencils
Hot glue gun (with adult supervision)
Paint (metallics like gold, silver, black, or purple work well)
Glitter, gems, string, or beads
Paintbrushes
Small containers for paint/glue
Newspaper or drop cloth (to protect surfaces)
Steps:
Build the Wand ShapeUse a chopstick or stick as the wand base. Wind hot glue in swirls, spirals, or raised patterns around the top ⅓ of the wand for texture. Let it dry.
Paint the Base CoatOnce glue is dry, paint the entire wand in a base colour (e.g., black, brown, or dark purple). Let it dry completely.
Add Magical DetailsUse metallic paint to highlight the raised glue. You can dry-brush to bring out texture. Add glitter, gems, or small beads for a magical effect.
Final TouchesTie on string, ribbon, or twine at the base or top for added detail. Let everything dry completely before use.
Other Information:
Great for: All ages (younger kids may need help with glue)
Time: 30–45 minutes including drying time
Safety: Adults should handle the hot glue gun for younger children
