Mini Samba Drums

Supplies:

• Paper cups (any size)

• Balloons (cut in half)

• Rubber bands

• Markers, paint, or stickers for decorating

• (Optional) Chopsticks or pencils for drumsticks

Steps:

1. Cut the balloon across the middle so you have a stretchy "cap" (the rounded end).

2. Stretch the balloon over the top of the paper cup to form a drumhead.

3. Secure with a rubber band tightly around the rim.

4. Decorate the cup with colourful markers, stickers, washi tape, or paint to give it a Carnival feel.

5. Tap with fingers or pencils to make your samba rhythm!

🟡 Tips:

• Use different cup sizes for a range of “drum” sounds.

• You can glue a bit of paper or card to the bottom to make them more stable.

• Try a mini parade with kids playing their drums together!
