Materials:
Assorted yarn in different colors
Googly eyes
Craft glue or hot glue gun
Cardboard or thick cardstock
Scissors
Instructions:
Start by gathering your materials and preparing a work surface.
Cut a piece of cardboard or thick cardstock into a rectangular shape. This will be used as the base for your yarn monster.
Take one end of the yarn and secure it onto the cardboard using craft glue or hot glue. Leave a small tail of yarn to blend in with the monster's body later.
Begin wrapping the yarn around the cardboard, making sure to cover the entire surface. You can wrap the yarn in a random pattern or create specific designs by changing colors.
Continue wrapping the yarn until you are satisfied with the thickness and coverage of the monster's body.
Once you have finished wrapping, cut the yarn, leaving another tail of yarn to blend in with the body. Secure the end with craft glue or hot glue.
Use scissors to carefully slide the wrapped yarn off the cardboard base.
Now it's time to shape your yarn monster! Manipulate the yarn with your hands to fluff it up and give it the desired form.
Use craft glue or a hot glue gun to attach googly eyes to the front of the monster. You can use different sizes and colors of googly eyes to add personality.
If desired, you can also add additional decorations, such as felt or pom-poms, to give your monster unique features.
Allow the glue to dry completely before handling or displaying your yarn monster.
Repeat the steps above to create more yarn monsters in different colors and sizes.
