Mother’s Day Handprint Butterflies

Supplies

• A4 printed template (Below)

• Washable paint (variety of colours)

• Paintbrushes or sponges

• Googly eyes (optional)

• Black marker or pen (for face and antennae)

• Glue or glue dots

• Scissors

• Small printed poem cards (see below)

• Wet wipes or access to handwashing station

  
  

Steps

1. Print the below card for each child and get them to design/colour the front

2. On the inside - Paint each hand with bright colours and press onto each side of the fold to form the butterfly's wings (fingers pointed outward).

3. Once dry, use a marker to draw a butterfly face and antennae in the centre fold.

4. Decorate with googly eyes, glitter, or stickers as desired.

5. On the back - Write the child’s name and the date for parents to treasure!
