Instructions for Kids' Movie Charades:
1. Gather the Participants:
- Assemble the kids who will be playing charades.
- Ensure that there is enough space for them to act out their charades.
2. Explain the Rules:
- Explain that charades is a game where participants act out movie titles without speaking.
- Instruct the kids that they need to use gestures, facial expressions, and body movements to convey the movie title to their teammates.
- Emphasize that they should not use any words, sounds, or props during their performance.
3. Create Teams:
- Divide the kids into teams of equal size.
- If the number of participants is small, they can take turns acting out the movie titles individually.
4. Prepare the Movie Titles:
- Write down a list of movie titles on small pieces of paper or index cards.
- Fold or mix the cards and place them in a container or bowl.
Or print the below and cut them up
5. Start the Game:
- The first player from Team A selects a movie title from the container without revealing it to others.
- They begin acting out the movie title while their teammates try to guess it.
6. Guessing the Movie Title:
- Teammates of the player acting out the charade observe the performance and try to guess the movie title.
- They can discuss and suggest their guesses silently.
- Once they have reached a consensus, one player from the team shouts out the guess.
7. Correct Guess:
- If the guess is correct, Team A earns a point, and it becomes Team B's turn to act out a movie title.
8. Incorrect Guess:
- If the guess is incorrect, Team B gets a chance to steal the point by making a correct guess based on the same charade.
9. Rotate Turns:
- Rotate turns between the teams, allowing each player to act out a movie title.
10. Keep Score:
- Keep track of the points earned by each team on a scorecard or whiteboard.
11. Play Multiple Rounds:
- Continue playing multiple rounds until all movie titles have been used, or until a certain number of rounds or time limit is reached.
12. Declare a Winner:
- At the end of the game, tally the points earned by each team.
- The team with the highest score is declared the winner.
