Origami Hearts

Supplies

• Square paper(Origami paper works best, or cut A4 paper into squares)

• Felt pens or markers

• Optional: stickers, glitter pens, crayons

Steps

1. Start with a squarePlace the paper flat on the table, coloured side down.

2. Fold in halfFold the paper in half vertically (top to bottom), then open it back up.

3. Fold bottom edge to the centreTake the bottom edge and fold it up to meet the centre crease.Press firmly.

4. Fold in half againFold the paper in half along the original centre line so the folded edge is at the bottom.

5. Create the heart shape

   • Fold the top left corner down toward the centre.

   • Fold the top right corner down toward the centre.These folds form the top curves of the heart.

6. Tidy the bottom pointFold the small bottom corner up slightly to soften the point.

7. Round the top edgesFold the sharp top corners slightly backwards to round the heart shape.

8. Flip overTurn the paper over — your origami heart is complete.

Decorate

• Write a kind word or name on the heart

• Add patterns, hearts, or drawings

• Use stickers or glitter pens if available
