Paper Plate Lion & Tiger Craft

Supplies
Paper plates (1 per child)
Orange and yellow paint (or crayons/markers)
Brown or black paint or markers (for tiger stripes)
Googly eyes (optional)
Black marker or pen (for nose/mouth)
Glue stick or PVA glue
Strips of orange, yellow, and brown paper (or coloured card)
Scissors
Paintbrushes
Steps
For the Lion
Paint the plate yellow or orange and let it dry.
Cut strips of orange, yellow, and brown paper (approx. 1.5 cm wide).
Glue the strips around the edge of the plate to make the lion’s mane.
Stick or draw eyes near the top of the plate.
Draw a nose and mouth in the centre with a black marker.
Add whiskers by gluing on short strips of black paper or drawing them in.
For the Tiger
Paint the plate orange and let it dry.
Cut and glue black stripes around the plate using paper or a black marker.
Add ears by cutting two orange triangles and gluing them to the top.
Stick or draw eyes near the top of the plate.
Draw a nose and mouth in the centre.
Optional: Add white paper cheeks or black whiskers.
