Supplies
Yarn various coulours
Paper plates
Hole puncher
Scissors
Pen
Cut out your shape
Trace/draw your desired shape onto the middle of the plate. Cut out the shape and then punch holes all around the perimeter of the shape. Don’t put the holes too close together.

Start threading
Your paper plate string art will take a lot more yarn than you think. Depending on the number of holes that you made, you’ll need between 3 and 5 m. Tie the yarn on one of the holes and beginning threading up and down across the shape until you fill in each hole.
Try to keep the yarn tight but don’t pull so hard that it rips through the paper plate. There is no rule or pattern to follow as you thread. You can make whatever design you want.
