Supplies
Paper plates (1 per child)
Green paint or markers
Green card or paper (for legs, head, and tail)
Scissors
Glue stick or PVA glue
Googly eyes (optional) or black marker
Paintbrushes
Paint the back of the plate
Turn the plate upside down and paint the back green (or add patterns with different greens/yellows).
Let it dry while you prep the other parts.
Cut out turtle body parts
From green paper or card, cut:
4 legs – oval or paddle shapes
1 head – rounded on one end
1 small triangle for the tail
Stick the parts to the plate
Once the plate is dry, flip it upside down (painted side up).
Glue the legs to the sides, the head to the front, and the tail at the back – all underneath the plate rim.
Add the eyes and face
Glue on googly eyes to the head, or draw them with marker.
Add a smile, nostrils, or even a little tongue if you like!
