Supplies:
1 hula hoop (large enough to fit over shoulders)
Setup:
Have all the children stand in a circle, holding hands.
Place the hula hoop over one child’s arm before they join hands with their neighbour.
Steps:
On “Go!”, the group must pass the hula hoop around the circle without letting go of each other’s hands.
The child with the hoop steps through it and wriggles it over their head and down the opposite arm so it slides to the next person.
That child repeats the process to keep the hoop moving around the circle.
Continue until the hula hoop returns to the starting person.
Other Information:
You can time how fast the group can get the hoop all the way around and challenge them to beat their record.
Add a second hoop starting on the opposite side of the circle for a fun twist with larger groups.
Great for teamwork, problem solving, and lots of laughs!
