Supplies:
A soft red-and-white ball (can decorate a ball or beanbag to look like a Pokéball)
Music (Pokémon theme or upbeat instrumental)
Optional: printed Pokémon cards or paper slips with different Pokémon names
Steps:
Form a Circle:Children sit or stand in a circle.
Start the Music:Begin playing music. While the music plays, children quickly pass the Pokéball around the circle.
Stop the Music:Randomly pause the music. The child holding the Pokéball is “caught!”
Add a Twist (Optional):The child caught must:
Name a Pokémon before rejoining the game.
OR draw a Pokémon card and act like that Pokémon.
OR complete a silly challenge (e.g., “Do a Pikachu hop” or “Make a Charizard roar!”).
Continue Until One Left or Just for Fun:You can play until there’s one left or just keep it going for laughs and activity.
