Pokéball Relay

Supplies:

  • 1 ping pong ball per team (decorate red and white like a Pokéball, if desired)

  • 1 spoon per team

  • 1 box, bucket, or container per team (labelled “Pokédex”)

  • Cones or tape to mark start and end points

Setup:

  1. Divide children into teams of 3–6 players.

  2. Each team lines up behind a starting line.

  3. Place a spoon and Pokéball at the front of each line.

  4. Set a “Pokédex” bucket about 5–10 metres away.

How to Play:

  1. The first player places the Pokéball on the spoon and walks or runs to the Pokédex.

  2. They drop the Pokéball into the container (without using their hands).

  3. Then, they run the spoon back to their team and hand it to the next player.

  4. The next player repeats the process.

  5. First team to have all members successfully deliver their Pokéball wins!

Rules:

  • If the Pokéball is dropped, the player must go back to the start and try again.

  • Only one player on each team moves at a time.

  • Optional: Make it harder by walking backwards or balancing with one hand behind their back!
