Pumpkin Balloon Stomp

Supplies:

  • Orange balloons (1–2 per child)

  • Black permanent markers or stickers (for faces)

  • String or wool (about 50cm per child)

  • Scissors

  • Open play area

Steps:

  1. Create Your Pumpkin Balloon

    • Give each child one orange balloon.

    • Before inflating, have them decorate their balloon like a pumpkin using black markers or stickers — draw eyes, a nose, and a spooky or silly mouth!

  2. Inflate and Tie

    • Once decorated, blow up the balloon to a medium size and tie a knot in the end.

    • Cut a piece of string and tie one end around the balloon knot.

    • Tie the other end securely around the child’s ankle so the balloon drags behind or beside them.

  3. Get Ready to Stomp!

    • Gather everyone in the play area and explain the rules:

      • Players must protect their own pumpkin balloon while trying to stomp on others’ balloons to pop them.

      • Hands are off-limits — only feet can be used!

      • Once a balloon pops, that player is out and must step to the side.

  4. Start the Game

    • On “GO!”, everyone starts moving around, trying to stomp other pumpkins while keeping theirs safe.

    • Keep the game moving and full of laughter!

  5. Winning the Game

    • The last player with an unpopped balloon is the winner and can be crowned the Pumpkin Protector Champion! 👑🎃
