Supplies:
Whiteboard and markers or large sheets of paper and crayons
List of ocean animals (e.g. shark, dolphin, octopus, turtle, crab, jellyfish, whale, starfish, seahorse, stingray)
Timer (optional)
Easel or wall space for drawing
Steps:
Divide the children into two (or more) teams.
Choose one player from the first team to come up and draw a sea creature from your list (whisper it to them or show them a card).
Set a timer for 30–60 seconds. The player draws the creature without using words or gestures.
Their team must guess what the sea creature is before time runs out!
If they guess correctly, they earn a point. If not, the other team can have one guess to “steal” the point.
Rotate turns so everyone gets a chance to draw.
Continue until every player has had a turn or your time slot is up — then tally the points to find the winning team!
Other Information:
For younger children, allow extra time or let them use coloured pens to add clues.
For older children, mix in trickier creatures like stingrays, sea cucumbers, or anglerfish.
You can also theme rounds (e.g. “Fast swimmers,” “Shell creatures,” or “Ocean mammals”).
