Tango Fans

Supplies

• A4 or A3 coloured paper (red, black, or bright colours work well)

• Popsicle sticks or bamboo skewers (for handles)

• Glue or tape

• Scissors

• Lace, ribbon, or fabric scraps (optional for decoration)

• Sequins, glitter, or stickers (optional)

Steps

1. Give each child a piece of coloured paper.

2. Show them how to fold it accordion-style (back and forth, 2–3 cm folds).

3. Once folded, crease firmly, then fold in half to create a fan shape.

4. Glue or tape the bottom edges together so the fan holds its semi-circle shape.

5. Attach a popsicle stick or bamboo skewer to each end as handles.

6. Decorate the fan with lace, ribbon, sequins, or glitter to make it elegant like a tango dancer’s fan.

7. Once dry, children can use their fans in a mini tango parade or performance.
