Truffula Tree Art

Supplies:

  • White paper or card

  • Paints or markers (black + bright colours for trunks)

  • Tissue paper in bright colours (yellow, pink, red, orange, etc.)

  • Glue sticks or PVA glue

  • Scissors

Steps:

  1. On the paper, draw and colour tall tree trunks with bright stripes (alternate a colour with black to get the classic Dr Seuss look).

  2. Cut tissue paper into squares (about 10–15cm across).

  3. Scrunch each square into a loose ball to make a fluffy pom-pom.

  4. Glue a pom-pom at the top of each trunk to form the Truffula Tree top.

  5. Let dry before displaying.

Other Information:

  • You can swap tissue paper for cotton balls dyed with food colouring.

  • Works well as a group mural if you tape lots of trees together on a wall.
