Supplies:
1 pool noodle per player
1 soft ball or large pom-pom per player
Cones, chalk, or tape for start and finish lines
Steps:
Mark out a race course with a clear start and finish line.
Give each player a pool noodle and place the soft ball/pom-pom on top.
Players must hold the noodle upright and balance the “tree top” without using their other hand to steady it.
On “Go!”, players race to the finish line.
If the ball falls, they must stop, replace it, and continue from where it fell.
The first player to cross the finish line with the “tree top” still balanced wins.
Other Information:
Works well as a relay for larger groups.
Can be made harder by adding turns or obstacles to the course.
