Group Size:
Pairs, or run tournament-style, with many duels happening
Supplies:
Pool noodles or soft foam wands (1 per player)
Paper wizard/witch hats or cones (1 per player)
Open space (indoor or outdoor)
Optional: cones or tape to mark duelling zones
Set-Up:
Give Each Player a Wand Pool noodles or foam swords work great — soft and safe for duelling.
Designate a Duel ZoneMark out small areas for each pair to duel (like a “duelling ring”). This helps avoid collisions.
How to Play:
Face Off!Two players enter the duelling zone and face each other. They must hold their wand with two hands at all times.
The Goal:Try to knock your opponent’s hat off — without using hands or touching anything but the wand.
Rules:
No hitting heads or faces directly
No grabbing hats with hands
First hat to fall = round ends
Winner stays on for next duel (or rotate each round)
Team Play Option:Play tournament-style or tally up wins for a House Cup competition!
