Watermelon Fan

Supplies

• 1 sheet pink or red paper

• 1 strip green paper (or colour the edge green)

• Black marker (for seeds)

• Glue stick or tape

• 2 popsicle sticks

• Scissors

Steps

1. Cut the Fan ShapeCut your red/pink paper into a large circle or half-circle (half-circle looks most like watermelon).

2. Add the Green RindGlue a strip of green paper along the curved edge to make the watermelon rind.

3. Draw SeedsUse a black marker to draw small teardrop-shaped seeds across the red section.

4. Fold the FanFold the entire piece back and forth like an accordion (1–2 cm folds).

5. Add HandlesGlue or tape a popsicle stick to each end of the folded fan.

6. Open & EnjoyPull the sticks together slightly to open the fan and wave your watermelon fan to cool off!
