Chocolate Brownies
Soft, chewy, and full of rich chocolate flavour – a classic Kiwi favourite!
Supplies & Ingredients
250g butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 cups Chelsea White Sugar
½ cup cocoa powder
1½ cups Edmonds Standard Grade Flour
1 tsp Edmonds Baking Powder
4 eggs
Steps
Preheat oven to 180°C bake (160°C fan). Line a 20x30cm slice tin with baking paper.
Melt the butter in a large bowl. Add vanilla and sugar, and mix well.
Add cocoa and stir until smooth.
Sift in flour and baking powder, then stir to combine.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
Pour into tin and smooth the top.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool in tin, then cut into squares.
