🔥 Easy Campfire Slice

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes or rice bubbles (or a mix of both)

  • ½ cup chocolate chips

  • ½ cup icing sugar

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1 cup plain flour

  • ½ cup white sugar

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

  • 125g butter

  • 2 tablespoons milk

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla essence


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the tinLine a slice tin (approx. 20 x 30 cm) with baking paper.

  2. Mix dry ingredientsIn a large mixing bowl, combine:

    • 2 cups crushed cornflakes or rice bubbles

    • ½ cup chocolate chips

    • 1 cup mini marshmallows

    • ½ cup icing sugar

    • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

    • 1 cup plain flour

    • ½ cup white sugar

  3. Make the syrupIn a small saucepan over low heat, melt 125g butter.Add 2 tablespoons of milk and ½ teaspoon vanilla essence. Stir until smooth.

  4. CombinePour the warm butter mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well until everything is coated.

  5. Press into tinPress the mixture firmly into the lined tin using the back of a spoon or clean hands.

  6. Chill to setPlace in the fridge for at least 2 hours or until firm. Once set, slice into squares or bars.
