Frankenstein Rice Bubble Pops


Supplies:

  • 6 cups Rice Bubbles cereal

  • 250g marshmallows

  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine

  • Green food colouring

  • Mini marshmallows (for Frankenstein’s “bolts”)

  • Edible candy eyes (or white icing dots)

  • Black icing pen or melted dark chocolate (for hair and mouth)

  • Lollipop sticks or straws

  • Baking tray

  • Baking paper

  • Mixing bowl and spoon

Steps:

  1. Melt the Marshmallows

    • In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.

    • Add the marshmallows and stir until smooth and melted.

    • Add a few drops of green food colouring and mix well until the colour is even.

  2. Add the Rice Bubbles

    • Remove the pot from the heat.

    • Add the Rice Bubbles and stir until they’re fully coated in the green marshmallow mix.

  3. Shape Frankenstein’s Heads

    • Line a baking tray with baking paper.

    • Scoop the mixture onto the tray and press it down firmly with a spoon (or slightly damp hands).

    • Once it cools a little, cut into small rectangles — these will be Frankenstein’s heads.

    • Insert a lollipop stick or straw into the bottom of each piece.

  4. Decorate Frankenstein

    • Use a black icing pen or melted dark chocolate to draw hair and a mouth.

    • Stick on candy eyes (or use white icing dots for eyes).

    • Cut mini marshmallows in half and stick one on each side of the head to look like bolts.

  5. Set and Serve

    • Let them cool completely until firm.

    • Store in an airtight container until it’s party time!
