Supplies:
1 cup clear PVA glue
½ cup water
½ tsp baking soda
Food colouring (purple, blue, pink, and black work best)
Glitter (silver, blue, purple)
Star confetti (optional)
1 tbsp saline solution or contact lens solution (with boric acid)
Mixing bowls and spoons
Airtight containers or ziplock bags for storage
Steps:
Make the Base:
In a bowl, mix 1 cup of clear glue with ½ cup of water.
Stir well until fully combined.
Add Colour and Sparkle:
Divide the glue mixture into three or four smaller bowls.
Add a few drops of food colouring to each bowl to make different galaxy colours (purple, blue, pink, and black).
Add glitter and optional star confetti to each bowl and mix well.
Activate the Slime:
Add ½ tsp baking soda to each coloured mixture and stir.
Slowly add 1 tbsp saline solution (a little at a time) while stirring until the slime starts to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
Knead the slime with your hands until it becomes stretchy and smooth.
Combine the Colours:
Take small amounts of each coloured slime and gently twist or fold them together to create a galaxy swirl effect. Avoid overmixing to keep the colours distinct.
Play and Store:
Enjoy your shimmering, stretchy galaxy slime! Store in airtight containers or ziplock bags to keep it fresh.
