Supplies/Ingredients:
5 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp golden syrup
1 tsp baking soda
Steps:
Prepare the Tray
Grease a small baking tray or line with baking paper.
Melt Sugar & Syrup
In a saucepan, add sugar and golden syrup.
Heat gently, stirring all the time, until the sugar dissolves.
Boil the Mixture
Once dissolved, stop stirring.
Let it boil for about 2 minutes until golden in colour.
Add the Magic
Remove from heat. Quickly add baking soda and stir — the mixture will foam up.
Set the Hokey Pokey
Immediately pour into the prepared tray.
Leave to cool and harden.
Break Into Pieces
Once cool, crack into chunks and enjoy!
