Mad Hatter Teacup Race

Supplies

• Plastic cups (teacups) – one per player

• Saucers or paper plates (optional)

• Water

• Spoons (optional variation)

• Cones or markers for start and finish lines

Set Up

• Set up a start line and finish line (or turning point).

• Full the cup with water

• Give each child one cup (and saucer if using).

How to Play

1. Start PositionPlayers stand behind the start line holding their cup carefully.

2. On “Go”Players race to the finish line while keeping the water inside their cup.

3. SpillsIf the water falls out, the player must stop

4. FinishThe first player to cross the finish line with the water still in their cup wins the round.
