Pet Rocks

Supplies

• Smooth rocks (varied sizes and shapes)

• Acrylic paint (any colours)

• Paintbrushes

• PVA glue or hot glue (with adult help)

• Googly eyes

• Permanent markers

• Optional: pom-poms, pipe cleaners, felt, foam shapes

Steps

1. Pick Your RocksChoose smooth, clean rocks of different sizes and shapes. Rinse and dry them if needed.

2. Start PaintingUse acrylic paint to decorate your rocks. Paint them a solid colour or add patterns like spots, stripes, or rainbows. Let the first coat dry before adding more detail.

3. Add EyesOnce dry, glue on googly eyes. You can use one for a silly cyclops, or two (or more!) for a classic look.

4. DecorateBring your rock to life! Use markers to draw on mouths, eyebrows, and accessories. Add pom-poms for hats, pipe cleaners for antennas, or felt for wings.

Optional:

1. Rocks can be sealed with a clear varnish to make them last longer (optional).

2. Encourage kids to give their pet rocks names and write little bios!
