Pokeball Biscuits

Ingredients:

For the Cookies:

  • 2 ½ cups plain flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla essence

For Decoration:

  • Red, black, and white royal icing

  • Optional: chocolate buttons or black fondant circles for centre

Instructions:

🧁 Make the Sugar Cookies:
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (fan bake).

  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Add egg and vanilla, beat well.

  5. Gradually add dry ingredients until a dough forms.

  6. Roll out dough on a floured surface to about 6–8mm thickness.

  7. Cut into circles using a cookie cutter or glass.

  8. Bake on a lined tray for 8–10 minutes or until edges are golden.

  9. Cool completely before decorating.

🎨 Decorate Like Pokéballs:
  1. Base Layer:Use white icing for the bottom half, red for the top half of each cookie.

  2. Divider:Pipe or lay a strip of black icing/fondant across the middle.

  3. Centre Button:Add a small white circle (icing, fondant, or chocolate button) in the centre.

Let icing set before stacking or serving.
