Pokeball Biscuits

Ingredients:
For the Cookies:
2 ½ cups plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 large egg
1 ½ tsp vanilla essence
For Decoration:
Red, black, and white royal icing
Optional: chocolate buttons or black fondant circles for centre
Instructions:
🧁 Make the Sugar Cookies:
Preheat oven to 180°C (fan bake).
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla, beat well.
Gradually add dry ingredients until a dough forms.
Roll out dough on a floured surface to about 6–8mm thickness.
Cut into circles using a cookie cutter or glass.
Bake on a lined tray for 8–10 minutes or until edges are golden.
Cool completely before decorating.
🎨 Decorate Like Pokéballs:
Base Layer:Use white icing for the bottom half, red for the top half of each cookie.
Divider:Pipe or lay a strip of black icing/fondant across the middle.
Centre Button:Add a small white circle (icing, fondant, or chocolate button) in the centre.
Let icing set before stacking or serving.
