Queen of hearts card toss

Supplies

• Decks of playing cards (or sturdy paper cards)

• Buckets, boxes, hoops, or trays (targets)

• Cones or tape to mark throwing lines

Set Up

• Place buckets or targets on the ground or tables.

• Mark a throwing line a short distance away (adjust for age).

• Give each player a small stack of cards (3–5 cards).

How to Play

1. Start PositionPlayers stand behind the throwing line with their cards.

2. Throw the CardsOne at a time, players throw their cards towards the target.

3. Scoring (Optional)

   • Card in the target = 1 point

   • Different targets can be worth different points

4. TurnsOnce all cards are thrown, players collect their cards and the next player or team has a turn.

Variations

• Distance Challenge: Move the throwing line further back.

• Team Play: Add up team scores.

• Timed Round: How many cards can you land in the target in 30 seconds?

• Moving Target: Staff gently move the bucket side to side.
