Supplies:
Thick cotton rope (cut into 3–5 short lengths for rainbow arches)
Assorted coloured yarn or embroidery thread
Scissors
Hot glue or craft glue (for attaching ends)
Needle (optional for threading yarn through)
Steps:
Cut the Rope
Cut 3–5 pieces of thick rope in slightly different lengths, each one a little shorter than the last (these will form your rainbow arches).
Choose Your Colours
Pick different coloured yarns for each rainbow arch. Bright rainbow colours work great, but you can also use pastel tones or any theme you like.
Wrap the Rope
Starting at one end of a rope piece, tightly wrap your chosen yarn around the rope until it’s fully covered.
Use a small dab of glue to secure the ends.
Repeat for each rope piece with a different colour.
Assemble the Rainbow
Arrange the wrapped rope pieces in an arch shape, from longest to shortest.
Glue or stitch them together at the edges to hold the rainbow shape.
Finish the Ends
Unravel the loose rope ends to create a fringe effect at the bottom of each arch.
Display
Your rainbow macramé can be hung on the wall, added to a keyring, or used as decoration.
