Slime Station

SLIME STATION INSTRUCTIONS

Make your own stretchy, squishy slime to take home!

You Will Need (Per Child):

  • ½ cup PVA glue (clear or white)

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • A few drops of food colouring (optional)

  • 1 tbsp contact lens solution (must contain boric acid)

  • Mixing bowl

  • Spoon or spatula

  • Optional: glitter, confetti, or shaving foam (for fluffy slime)

Instructions:

1. Pour the Glue

Add ½ cup of PVA glue into your mixing bowl.

2. Add Colour (Optional)

Add a few drops of food colouring and stir until the colour is even.

3. Mix in Baking Soda

Add ½ teaspoon of baking soda and mix well. This helps the slime firm up.

4. Add the Magic Activator

Add 1 tablespoon of contact lens solution. Mix and watch it start to clump.

5. Stir and Knead

Keep stirring! When it gets too thick to mix, use your hands to knead it for 2–3 minutes until smooth and stretchy.

Tips for Success:

  • If it’s too sticky, add a few more drops of contact lens solution.

  • If it’s too rubbery, you may have added too much activator – next time, go slower!

  • Wash hands before and after playing with slime.

  • Store in a zip-lock bag or container to keep it fresh.
