Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups M&M's (plus extra for topping, if desired)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Gently fold in the M&M's, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Using a cookie scoop or a spoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
If desired, press a few extra M&M's onto the tops of the cookie dough balls for decoration.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes. Then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
Enjoy your soft and chewy M&M cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite beverage!
