Ingredients:
100g butter
5 cups rice bubbles
1 packet (approx. 280g) marshmallows
1 tsp vanilla essence (optional)
Sprinkles, edible glitter, or coloured sugar (optional)
White or dark chocolate (for coating – optional)
Supplies:
Large pot
Wooden spoon or silicone spatula
Baking tray
Baking paper
Star-shaped cookie cutter
Popsicle sticks or cake pop sticks
Microwave-safe bowl (if coating in chocolate)
Steps:
Prep Your Tray:Line a baking tray with baking paper. Set aside.
Melt the Marshmallow Mix:In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter.Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.Optional: Add vanilla essence and mix in.
Add Rice Bubbles:Remove pot from heat. Gently stir in rice bubbles until fully coated.
Shape & Cut:Pour mixture onto the lined tray. Press down firmly and evenly (use another sheet of baking paper and your hands or a flat spatula).Let it cool for 10–15 minutes but not fully harden.
Cut Your Stars:Use your star cookie cutter to press out shapes. If needed, re-press trimmings together and cut more.
Add Sticks:Carefully insert a popsicle stick into the base of each star. If the mixture is too firm, dip the stick in a bit of melted chocolate first to help it hold.
Optional Decoration:
Melt chocolate and dip each star or drizzle on top.
Sprinkle with stars, glitter, or coloured sugar before the chocolate sets.
Let Set:Place in the fridge for 10–15 minutes to firm up.
