  • 5 cups rice bubbles

  • 1 packet (approx. 280g) marshmallows

  • 1 tsp vanilla essence (optional)

  • Sprinkles, edible glitter, or coloured sugar (optional)

  • White or dark chocolate (for coating – optional)

Supplies:

  • Large pot

  • Wooden spoon or silicone spatula

  • Baking tray

  • Baking paper

  • Star-shaped cookie cutter

  • Popsicle sticks or cake pop sticks

  • Microwave-safe bowl (if coating in chocolate)

Steps:

  1. Prep Your Tray:Line a baking tray with baking paper. Set aside.

  2. Melt the Marshmallow Mix:In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter.Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.Optional: Add vanilla essence and mix in.

  3. Add Rice Bubbles:Remove pot from heat. Gently stir in rice bubbles until fully coated.

  4. Shape & Cut:Pour mixture onto the lined tray. Press down firmly and evenly (use another sheet of baking paper and your hands or a flat spatula).Let it cool for 10–15 minutes but not fully harden.

  5. Cut Your Stars:Use your star cookie cutter to press out shapes. If needed, re-press trimmings together and cut more.

  6. Add Sticks:Carefully insert a popsicle stick into the base of each star. If the mixture is too firm, dip the stick in a bit of melted chocolate first to help it hold.

  7. Optional Decoration:

    • Melt chocolate and dip each star or drizzle on top.

    • Sprinkle with stars, glitter, or coloured sugar before the chocolate sets.

  8. Let Set:Place in the fridge for 10–15 minutes to firm up.
