Supplies
Open space (school hall, court, or field).
Steps
Form whānau (families) – Divide players into small groups of 3–5. Each group holds hands or links arms to stay connected.
Choose a tagger – One group (the “tagging whānau”) is chosen to start.
Start the chase – The tagging whānau works together to chase and tag another whānau by touching any member.
Switch roles – When a whānau member is tagged, that group becomes the new taggers.
Stay together – Whānau must stay linked the whole time. If they break apart, they must stop and reconnect before continuing.
Keep playing – Rotate taggers and continue until everyone is tired out!
